Bed Post Construction. Like my table legs, the bed legs are created from four interlocking quarter-sawn pieces. This leg design proudly displays the mechanically superior locking-mitre joint used to assemble the legs, and is capped off with a hand rubbed Ebony plug.
Bed Post Indent and Ebony Plug. Each bed leg features leg-indents on all four sides which are included to draw the eye to the leg and bring out the stunning ray and fleck patterns of the quarter-sawn white oak. Each mortise-and-tennon joint throughout the bed is carefully pinned to ensure a long last joint, and then completed with an Ebony plug.
